Bulletin News from August 27, 2017
DURING OUR WORSHIP TODAY we will highlight the ministry of our church's Hope Groups. Each of our Hope Group Shepherds will take a minute to share about what their groups are studying and how their groups are serving.
THE PREACHING TODAY will be a relatively short message about Christian Marriage, based on Ephesians chapters 5 and 6. After the service the elders of the church will be available to pray with you about your marriage.
NEXT SUNDAY, September 3, the Lord's Supper will be served during our worship service.
IN SEPTEMBER our church is planning three Sundays with an emphasis on Christian Family Life. September 10, 17 and 24. On each Sunday we will have a teaching session at our usual meeting time, 10:00 am. And we will have a second teaching session from 1:00 to 2:30 pm. At 2:30 you may choose to remain for a time of sharing and prayer. The church elders encourage you to plan your schedule so that you can be present for these weeks of building up families in our church. Here is an overview of the speakers and topics:
* September 10: "Christian Marriage." Pastor, missionary and author, Ken Smith.
* September 17: "Christian Parenting." Elder Wayde Hoppe and other Hope Church parents.
* September 24: "Future Generations." Bible teachers David Smith and Benjamin Crissan.
ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, the iFire ministry moves into its fall program. The Fire Choir will begin practicing each Friday evening during part of the meeting. The older youth will be studying a memorable book on evangelism titled, "Will Our Generation Speak?" If your family does not have a copy of this book, please check with Anna Hoppe, 734-957-3338.
THOSE INTERESTED IN CHURCH MEMBERSHIP are invited to meet with the pastor for more information about Hope Church's beliefs and practices. Sunday evening, October 8. At the Achatz home, 315 Oak Street, Ypsilanti, 48198.
